Easy Peasy Glazed Donuts (Sweet Mysore Bonda)

Ingredients:
1 Cup All-purpose Flour
1 1/2 Tablespoons Baking Soda (or Baking Powder)
1 to 1 1/2 cups Yogurt (till u get thick Mysore Bonda consistency)
Oil to fry

Method:

Add the yogurt slowly to the flour in a bowl till you get thick Mysore Bonda consistency. Heat oil in a pan and set to medium heat. Add a spoonful of batter at a time in the oil and deep fry the donuts. Fry till you get golden brown color. Take them out and place these on some paper towels.

Note: Before you pour spoonful batter in the oil every time dip spoon in a bowl of water so the batter can be easily released into the pan. Careful not to spill water in the hot oil.

Glazing:

Prepare the desired glaze in a bowl. Put the fried donuts in the prepared glaze and mix them well. After the donuts are properly coated take them out with a spoon and put on a cookie drying rack with a plate underneath to take off the excess glaze.

Powdered Sugar Glaze

1/2 cup Confectioner sugar

Just sprinkle your desired amount of sugar on the fried donuts.

Vanilla Glaze

2/3 stick Butter 1 to 2 cups Confectioner sugar (adjust to your sweet level) 3 to 4 Tablespoons warm Milk (depending on how thin you like your glaze) 1 teaspoon Vanilla essence

Melt the butter and pour it in a bowl and add sugar and essence. Pour milk little by little till u get your desired glaze consistency.

Chocolate Glaze

2 to 3 Tablespoons Cocoa Powder or Melted Chocolate (Your desired amount)

Replace Vanilla essence with cocoa powder or melted chocolate to your desired amount.
