Ingredients
Karela (Kakarakaya, Bittergaurd)
salt
red chilli poder
any podi (koora podi, karivepaku podi) or garam masala
oil
Method
Wash karela thoroughly and cut into small thin discs. Put the pieces in a bowl and add salt, red chilli powder, oil and any podi you like. Mix all the ingredients well until the spices are thoroughly coated on the pieces. Keep it aside for few minutes. Take a microwavable dinner plate and arrange karela discs in a single layer.
Micriwave it high for 2-3 minutes and then turn the pieces upside down and microwave again for 2 minutes. Keep repeating these steps with 1 minute interval till the dics are turned into crispy chips. Do not burn them. You have to be there till it is done. Continue above steps till you finish all your pieces.
Microwave timings might be slightly different in your microwave.
Remarks
Enjoy these chips with rice or eat it just like a snack.
